How to get email notifications of new announcements

You can always come to this forum to read announcements, but you can also follow this forum to receive email notifications of new announcements.  To do this, you need to create a login on Freshdesk (the software that we use for our knowledge base, helpdesk and forums).  Here's how:

  1. Click Sign up in the upper right hand corner of the forum page.  



  2. Enter your name, your email address, the letters or numbers from the captcha, and click Register:


    If you've contacted Presto support since we switched over to FreshDesk, you may already have a login.  If so, you'll see an error message saying that the email has already been taken.  Click Login in the upper right hand corner of the screen and either enter your email address and password (if you remember it), or click forgot your password? to send yourself a password reset email.

  3. Check your email for a message with the subject Presto Admin Forums user activation and click the activation link in the email:



  4. Enter a password and retype it, then click Activate & Log in:



  5. In the Announcements forum, click the Follow button:



  6. That's all you have to do!  Now, whenever a new announcement is posted, you'll get an email with the announcement, direct links to the forum and individual announcements, and (of course) a link to let you unfollow (unsubscribe to notifications for this forum).
